Activation & rehabilitation

PerformanceNL has full access to gym facilities. Part of your session may involve specific, correctional exercises to help with injury rehabilitation or generally increase strength and stability in areas of weakness. This also includes mobility exercises and stretching. You may also be given a short daily or weekly programme to maintain and improve your strength and mobility.

Activation is the process of 'getting muscles ready for activity'. it is usually applied with resistance either by myself manually or with resistance bands or weight. It is often used just before a training session, match or competition. However, it can also help with issues such as asymmetry and post-surgery muscle wastage.
